The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the collection of the second tranche of toll rate adjustments for the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), set to take effect on November 19, 2024. The new rates will add P0.64 per kilometer for Class 1 vehicles, P1.29 per kilometer for Class 2 vehicles, and P1.93 per kilometer for Class 3 vehicles.
The increase is part of the periodic toll adjustments scheduled for 2021 and 2023. To ease the impact on motorists, the adjustments were deferred and divided into three tranches, with the first tranche implemented on October 17, 2023.
Under the new rates, motorists traveling from Mabalacat City (Mabiga Interchange) to Tarlac will see an additional P25 for Class 1 vehicles, P50 for Class 2 vehicles, and P75 for Class 3 vehicles. For those traveling between Mabalacat City and Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan, the additional charges will be P41, P81, and P121, respectively, for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles.
The SCTEX has recently completed several infrastructure projects to improve safety and convenience for users, including road lighting upgrades, toll plaza improvements, pavement replacement, and the installation of rainwater collection systems in rest bays.
