The Provincial Government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, responded swiftly to the needs of residents affected by heavy flooding in the municipalities of Bacolor and Floridablanca.
In Barangay Tinajero, Bacolor, evacuees who sought shelter at the barangay covered court received immediate aid, including food packs, drinking water, sleeping mats, and tents. A mobile kitchen was also set up to provide hot meals, supported by personnel from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and General Services Office (GSO).
The relief operations were prompted by floodwaters that reached over four feet as of 1:00 PM, forcing families to evacuate for safety.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Maligaya, Floridablanca, some 278 families received food assistance consisting of rice and canned goods. Acting Vice Governor Fritzie David Dizon led the distribution on behalf of Governor Pineda.
Local officials confirmed that the flooding in Floridablanca was triggered by a breach in the dikes along the Porac River, displacing hundreds of residents.
The provincial government continues to coordinate with local government units to respond to immediate needs and ensure the safety of flood-stricken communities.
