The Mabalacat City Government, led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, wishes to convey an urgent reminder and proper information to the public regarding the fight against Dengue.
Currently, there is a lot of false information circulating on social media, including siling labuyo or tawa-tawa being the cure to dengue. Mayor Garbo, however, said that this information has no scientific basis and should not be believed. Should any symptoms manifest, it is important to immediately consult a doctor.
“Sa Mabalacat City, handa ang City Health Office at ang mga RHUs kasama ang mga barangay upang labanan ang pagkalat ng Dengue sa ating lungsod. Mahalaga rin ang kooperasyon at pakikiisa ng bawat mamamayan sa pagsugpo ng pagdami ng lamok na nagdudulot ng sakit na ito,” said Mayor Cris Garbo, who is also the Focal Local Chief Executive for Health of the League of Cities of the Philippines.
“Sa panahon ngayon, dapat maging mapanuri at maging responsable sa pagtanggap ng impormasyon. Ang tamang kaalaman at wastong aksyon ang magiging susi sa pagprotekta sa ating kalusugan laban sa anumang sakit,” the Mayor concluded.
