In celebration of Zero Waste Month, volunteers gathered along the Waterfront beach area of Subic Bay Freeport on Thursday, January 16, 2025, to participate in a massive coastal and underwater clean-up drive. The event saw both land and water efforts to remove waste from the beach and submerged areas.
Volunteers worked together, segregating the waste they collected to ensure proper disposal and recycling. Among the participants were volunteer divers from the Olongapo-Zambales Divers Association, who helped remove debris from the underwater environment, ensuring the health of the bay’s marine life.
The clean-up initiative highlights the community’s ongoing commitment to preserving Subic Bay’s natural beauty and promoting environmental sustainability.
