With only five months remaining in his term, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo βPogiβ Lazatin Jr. is determined to deliver impactful projects for AngeleΓ±os, focusing on public safety, education, and digital innovation.
On February 5, 2025, he led the blessing and inauguration of the newly upgraded Angeles City Emergency Disaster Command Center, fulfilling a key promise from his 2022 reelection campaign. The upgraded center now boasts 375 CCTV cameras, a significant increase from the previous 165, aiming to improve real-time monitoring, disaster response, and crime prevention.
This initiative follows the recent launch of the AngelenΜo ALERT 24/7 Mobile App and the inauguration of 16 modern computer labs in public schools.
Lazatin credited the success of these projects to the City Engineerβs Office, ICT Division, Command Center, General Services Office, and Converge ICT Co-Founder Dennis Uy. βAs my term nears its end, I assure you that my commitment to public service will never waver,β Lazatin said, promising more projects will be launched and completed before his tenure concludes.
