A total of 1,727 students from various towns in Pampanga were recipients of educational assistance from the Provincial Government’s Scholarship Program, aimed at supporting their academic aspirations.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of financial aid during a ceremony held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Each scholar received P4,000 through the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP), which aims to alleviate the financial burden on Kapampangan students pursuing higher education.
One of the beneficiaries, Jonel Dizon, a 22-year-old working student, shared his heartfelt gratitude for the scholarship. He credits the program for allowing him to remain focused on his studies as he works toward his dream of becoming an accountant.
According to records from the Provincial Library, the EFAP has consistently supported between 13,000 and 14,000 students across the province, providing financial assistance twice a year. The P4,000 stipend per semester helps ensure that students can continue their academic journey without being overwhelmed by financial challenges.
In addition to the financial aid, 81 scholars who passed their board exams were also recognized and received incentives of up to P15,000 from the provincial government.
