2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu by Megaworld to stage first All-Female Reyna Bulakna Run

The City of Lapu-Lapu is thrilled to host the most spectacular funrun to grace its shores – the Reyna Bulakna Run set on April 19, 2024 at the Liberty Shrine, Mactan, Cebu.

On its 10th year staging of IRONMAN-branded events in Cebu, the IRONMAN Group Philippines, along with 2GO Group Inc., will launch the all-female 5k fun run on February 14, 2024 – a fitting day as the event will showcase Reyna Bulakna, wife of Filipino hero, Lapu-Lapu, and queen at the time of the Battle of Mactan.

Since 2016, the all-female fun run during the IRONMAN 70.3 in Cebu has always been a sold out event. Attended by the wives, daughters, moms, aunts, and female relatives of the IRONMAN 70.3 participants, as well as the local community, the event, that was once called IRONGIRL, is back with the same spirit of inclusivity.

The title sponsor, 2Go, has been a long-time logistics partner of the IRONMAN in the Philippines. 2Go has a company culture that cultivates strong women leaders. 2Go has also supported sports initiatives of their employees – evident in the regular participation of the 2Go triathlon team and running team.

The 5km fun run will start at the Liberty Shrine, going west towards Mactan Newtown, on a two-loop run course, then back to the Mactan Shrine. The event will feature surprise highlights never before seen in local fun run events!

The registration fee of Php750 will include a participant’s shirt, bag, finisher’s medals, a Php100 voucher for the Kadaugan Food Fest valid for the run weekend, and more!

Registration for the 2024 Reyna Bulakna Run is open starting February 14, 2024 https://www.ironman.com/im703-cebu-philippines.
