26th PH Hot Air Balloon Festival takes flight in New Clark City

The Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF), the country’s longest-running aviation sports event, returns for its 26th edition—bigger, bolder, and more spectacular—now set in its new home at New Clark City.

Dubbed “A Weekend of Everything that Flies,” the three-day festival will run from February 13 to 15, 2026, bringing together families, friends, and aviation enthusiasts for nonstop aerial displays. The event will feature regular and special-shaped hot air balloons, helicopters, skydivers, paragliders, radio-controlled aircraft, kites, and drones, filling the skies with a vibrant mix of flying spectacles.

“Bringing all these aerial spectacles together within a three-day celebration reminds us how meaningful it is to keep offering a true airshow experience—one we’ve honed and shared with the public for more than two decades,” said PIHABF Event Director Capt. Joy Roa.

This year’s festival raises the bar with its largest lineup of special-shaped balloons to date, showcasing 22 colorful and creative designs flown by pilots from the United Kingdom, United States, Belgium, Netherlands, Macedonia, Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil.

The 26th PIHABF will be held at New Clark City, a premier sports and events hub developed by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). The venue boasts a 20,000-seat Athletics Stadium, a world-class Aquatics Center, and expansive open grounds suited for large-scale outdoor events.

“We are always delighted and honored to host events like this. For New Clark City to welcome and witness this amazing festival is truly special. It deserves to be celebrated in our world-class facilities, which are comfortable, spacious, and accessible to ensure an exceptional experience for all,” said BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang.

For over 25 years, the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta has grown into a much-anticipated celebration of aviation and culture. Since Capt. Roa and his team took the helm in its third year, the festival has evolved into a showcase of sports aviation, international camaraderie, and world-class flying performances.

Through the years, it has featured aerobatic superstars such as the Breitling Jet Team**, Wing Walkers, and renowned stunt pilot Mark Jeffries, alongside international air rallies, skydiving exhibitions, tandem jumps, and cultural exchanges highlighting Filipino artistry.
