A total of 42 residents of barangay San Isidro in La Paz benefited from the skills training of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac.
Negosyo Center La Paz led the Entrepreneurial Mind-Setting Seminar and Skills Training on Siopao and Empanada Making for the attendees, who are village officials and employees.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the activity aims to impart knowledge and spur interest in entrepreneurship by introducing livelihood skills that the participants can pass on to their constituents.
“As our partners in the barangay on business development, being equipped with the know-how of entrepreneurship will further guide the residents of their community on starting and sustaining their businesses,” she added..
Negosyo Center La Paz Business Counselor Jesalyn Dueñas tackled the different kinds of businesses, the basics of entrepreneurship, and the steps in business registration, while resource speaker Arceli Oriondo, shared the process of making siopao and empanada.
DTI committed to provide technical assistance to the participants in creating their business and eventually, developing their own products.
Furthermore, they organize trade fairs, business caravans, and other activities showcasing products of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in partnership with various government agencies and the private sector to help them reach the market. (PIA 3)
