Fifty-two pediatric cancer patients and liver transplant recipients were given a meaningful Christmas celebration through a special holiday activity organized by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and the Pineda family.
On Tuesday, December 16, the children were treated to a day of fun and relaxation at Pradera Theme Park, giving them a welcome break from medical treatments and a chance to enjoy the holiday season in a joyful setting.

The initiative was aimed at providing the young patients with emotional relief and a sense of normalcy as they continue to face serious health challenges.
During the activity, the children enjoyed various attractions, including arcade games, boat and airplane rides, swings, and the carousel. The celebration also featured a colorful parade of cartoon characters, a musical fountain show, and a fireworks display.

For many of the beneficiaries, it was their first time visiting a theme park, making the experience especially memorable for both the children and their families.
Richard Acyatan, father of one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude to the Pineda family, sharing how happy his child was during the activity and thanking them for their continued support and assistance to families facing similar challenges.
Aside from the recreational activities, the Pineda family also provided meals and extended financial and material assistance to the children. Each beneficiary received ₱15,000 in cash assistance, a ₱2,000 food and souvenir allowance, milk and food items based on their needs, and an additional ₱15,000 quarterly subsidy from the Provincial Capitol to help support ongoing medical expenses.
Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda said the activity was organized to help ease the financial burden of chemotherapy and other medical treatments, while also allowing the children to momentarily set aside the difficulties brought about by their illness.
Governor Nanay Pineda, meanwhile, encouraged parents to remain hopeful and steadfast in supporting their children, assuring them of the continued assistance and support of the provincial government and the Pineda family.
