MAGALANG, PAMPANGA — Around 100 residents from various barangays in Magalang are set to benefit from Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) and BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished) — a joint initiative with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) aimed at providing temporary employment and livelihood training.

Beneficiaries from Barangays Ayala, Escaler, Navaling, San Agustin, San Pablo, San Ildefonso, Sta. Maria, San Vicente, Sto. Niño, and Turu will undergo a 5-day Cash-for-Training and 15-day Cash-for-Work program as part of the project’s implementation.

The program officially kicked off with a turnover ceremony recently held in Barangay Ayala, attended by local officials led by Mayor Malu Lacson.
