191 Angeleños receive free wheelchairs from AC gov’t

The city government led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin , Jr.  continues to provide wheelchairs to help out senior citizens and mobility impaired individuals.

Alicia Maniago-Zamora, sister of Noel Maniago who suffered a stroke patient and wheelchair recipient, expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by Mayor Lazatin.

“Nagpapasalamat kami, kaming pamilya ni Noel, mga kapatid namin, kasama mga bayaw namin, mga pamangkin niya, lahat ng nagmamahal sa kanya. Sana hindi sila magsawang tumulong sa mga nangangailangan,” she remarked.

The wheelchair assistance program is spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Edna Duaso and a total of 191 wheelchairs have been handed over to the beneficiaries, of which 116 are senior citizens and 75 are differently-abled individuals.

For those who want to avail wheelchairs must be a certified residents in Angeles City  and present a barangay indigency certificate, photocopy of ID, personal letter, and contact number.

To confirm their eligibility as a beneficiary the applicant must be willing to undergo assessment and home visitation. (Angeles CIO)
