A United States carrier strike group led by USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) has arrived in the Philippines for
SM Cares, with SM Supermalls and Toy Kingdom, returned with their annual Christmas charity project, the SM Bears of Joy. This year, SM malls in Olongapo distributed Bears of Joy plushies to their chosen beneficiaries, including the kids of Kalalake Elementary School and SPED Center, Rotary of Empowered Leaders and kids of St. Joseph College Junior High School.
A total of 676 youth beneficiaries received payouts under the Government Internship Program (GIP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the provincial government. Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and DOLE Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio led the distribution of assistance in a ceremony held at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center on Thursday, January 4.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) built a covered court with solar-powered lights at barangay San Roque in Moncada, Tarlac. The P6.93-million infrastructure can conveniently host sports and other community recreational activities.
The Environmental Management System Gardeners on January 4 conducted their regular grass cutting and trimming operations along Angeles-Magalang Road.
