The Philippines on Friday, November 19, received 5,000 doses of the single-shot Sputnik Light COVID-19 vaccines donated by the Russian government, together with 2.8 million doses of procured Sputnik V shots.

NTF Chief Implementer and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. said the latest shipment of Sputnik V vaccines composed of Component 1 and 2 completes the procurement contract between the Philippine government and Russia’s Russian Direct Investment Fund for 10 million doses of the COVID-19 jabs.
