With the theme, “Securing Tomorrow Today with Digitech,” Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines is staging the 2nd Tourism and Technology Forum (TTF) on October 7-8 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) .
TTF provides a platform for travel and tourism stakeholders including hotel and resort properties, government tourism officers, chief information officers, travel agencies, tourism associations, transport operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and the academe to enhance their digital content marketing capabilities and business tools to promote and encourage travel in the Philippines.
Aside from knowledge sharing, smart digital solutions will be presented as well as current developments and best practices on technological innovations.
The two-day forum will run through a hybrid format with an esteemed group of industry experts facilitating a mix of sessions and open discussions.
Day 1 sessions will focus on “New Age of Travel: Overcoming Uncertainties, Accelerating Recovery” by Jan Sodprasert of McKinsey & Company; “5 Traveler Trends in 2022” by the Senior Editor of TripZilla, Alyosha Robillos; “E-commerce for Travel and Tourism” by Google Philippines’ Head of Industry, Prep Palacios; “Riding the Wave of Work from Anywhere” by the Chief Strategy Officer of Bloom Solutions, Luis Buenaventura; and “Creating Virtual Experiences” by Ayala and Yuchengco museum directors, Elizabeth Gustilo and Jeannie Javelosa.
Meanwhile, Day 2 will feature Filmmaker and Photographer Aaron Palabyab; Bea Lim, Chief Storyteller of TeamAsia; Jayvee Fernandez, Digital Services Director of TeamAsia; Marty Buragay, Solutions and Product Marketing Lead of Facebook; Philip Tnee, Country Manager of Tiktok Philippines, Myanmar, and Singapore; Ronster Baetiong, CEO of Podcast Network; and Wandalyn Tan-Calupig, Founder of Working Moms Academy.
Tourism Congress President Jojo Clemente III, PACEOS President Joel Pascual, PHILTOA President Cesar Cruz, and Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International Inc., Chair Margarita Munsayac will serve as panelists for the “Industry Responding to the New Era of Travel Uncertainty”. Likewise, Global Woman Cyprus Director Elisabeth Viliger Toufexis, Blogapalooza CEO Ace Gapuz, and Our Awesome Planet Blogger Anton Diaz will discuss the Rise of Influencers.
The 1st TTF, with the theme “Accelerating Digital Technologies for Sustainable and SmarTourism, was held last March 17 and 18 at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila with a total of 68 on-site attendees and 1127 online delegates
