Bale Pusu resident reunites with child after 30 years

It took 30 years for Romeo Guina to finally be reunited with his mom, 77-year old Mariquita Lee, who has been staying at Angeles City’s Bale Pusu for five months.

Lee was referred by a market goer at the Pampang Public Market and was endorsed to Bale Pusu.

The Angeles City Government, as part of the program of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., continues to conduct rescue operations to ensure the welfare of displaced families, the homeless, street children, and mentally-challenged individuals.

After five months, the city finally took Lee to her son in Barangay Pampang, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso, on May 26, 2022.

The Bale Pusu, home for the female homeless elderly, was inaugurated on September 2021, a flagship program of Mayor Lazatin, supervised by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
