City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs Head Ed Torres, and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)’s Judith Manalastas on June 8, 2022 handed over a Certificate of Recognition and P100,000 from the national government to centenarian Feliciano Sicat of Barangay Pandan.

Also present during the awarding of certificate and cash incentive are Barangay Pandan Captain Jerry Alejandrino, CSWDO Senior Citizen Focal Person Lilian Policarpio and Pandan Senior Citizens Association officers.

Republic Act 10868 or An Act Honoring and Granting Additional Benefits and Privileges to Filipino Centenarians, and for Other Purposes also known as the Centenarians Act of 2016, grants all Filipinos who reach the age of 100, whether residing in the country or abroad, a cash award of Php 100,000 as a centenarian gift.
