Angeles City “Operation Tuli” starts, target 300 children daily
The Angeles City Government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr., has started its “operation tuli” on July 4, 2022, targetting to circumcise 300 children daily for over a month.
Mayor Lazatin, together with City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, Nurse Supervisor Evelinda Mariano and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles visited the simultaneous circumcision at the six Rural Health Units in the city.
This is in pursuit of providing accessible health care to all Angeleños especially the indigents, Lazatin said.
“Ito pong libreng tuli ay ginagawa natin sa mga RHUs simultaneously. Tayo na po ang lumalapit sa mga barangays upang mas marami pong kabataang lalaki ang mahikayat na mag-avail ng serbisyo,” Lazatin furthered.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel said the kids also get to take home after care kits which include antibiotics, mefenamic acid, and betadine.
Thirty midwives, nurses, and doctors from CHO and RLMMC are leading the operation ‘tuli.’
