Joanna Camelle Mercado, 26, of Carmencita, Floridablanca, paid a courtesy call on Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda at the Provincial Capitol after winning the Miss United Continents 2022 pageant on August 7 at Porto Viejo, Ecuador.

Mercado was also second in the National Costume contest with her Viva la Reina getup.

She is the second Filipina to win the crown since 2016. The first winner is Jeslyn Santos who is now head of the Miss United Continents Philippines Organization.
