The Angeles City Government, thru the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), on October 4, 2021 turned over the custody of a minor to the officer of the Violence Against Women and Children Office in Barangay San Francisco, Mabalacat City.
The said minor was rescued by Social Workers Kimberly Tago and Mariel Manaloto during the city-wide inter-office rescue and saturation operation of displaced families, homeless street children and mentally-challenged individuals.
This is in line with Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr.’s goal to prioritize the safety and welfare of Angeleños and individuals in Angeles, ensuring that no one will stay out in the streets of the city especially this coming holiday season, according to Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas.
“Yung mga street individuals po, pinapahatid po sila ng city government kung saan po sila residente,” CSWDO Head Joy Duaso said.
