DTI Tarlac concludes Phase 2 of OTOP Next Gen Program – The Voice Newsweekly

The Department of Trade and Industry – Tarlac Provincial Office concluded the 2nd phase of OTOP Next Gen Product Development last month at La Maja Rica Hotel, Tarlac City.

Designers James Arnold Non, Maiko Pascual, and Vanessa Umali presented their proposed designs to the 23 micro and small entrepreneurs who underwent one on one product development consultation with them last August 17, 2022, for their (entrepreneurs) comment, approval, and execution.

Likewise, a seminar on Visual Merchandising was also conducted. Resource speaker Ryan Hope Bautista shared the different considerations in the preparation of the physical and virtual stores for trade fairs and other marketing activities. He also gave pointers on how to effectively use the mobile phone cameras in taking photos for social media marketing. The participants were also given an opportunity to do a mock set-up of their products to gauge their readiness in designing and preparing their own physical or virtual booths or selling areas.

“With these OTOP NG Sessions, we hope to boost the level of interest of the market in the brick and mortar and virtual stores of the MSMEs as well as help in the promotion and sales generation of the products and services they offer,” OIC PD Florencia Balilo said.
