Angeles City Tourism Officer Anneleen Sugui met with officials of SM City Clark to discuss the proposed exhibit of the winners of the recent Parade of Beautés, the competition where Mutya Ning Angeles candidates showcased their barangay’s unique history, significant events, best offerings, livelihood and culture through their costumes designed using indigenous materials.
SM City Clark officials present during the meeting are Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni, Assistant Mall Manager Lourdes Alarcon and Marketing Manager Rhidian Guevarra.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said that the recent local costume parade, which is the first of its kind in the history of Angeles City, aimed to recognize the identity of the city and Angeleños.
Mutya Ning Angeles candidate number 15, Myrna Esguerra, won the Best Costume award for ‘Pamaglala’, which showcases the livelihood of the people of Barangay Anunas.
She took home the ₱100,000 prize, which was sponsored by The Clouds Bar and The Grounds.
The other winners are: Dynara Maurer of Barangay Balibago, 1st Runner-Up; Marianne Rada of Barangay Pulung Cacutud, 2nd runner-up; Giannine Danielle Batul of Barangay Capaya, 3rd runner-up, and Genica Cruz of Barangay Cutcut, 4th runner-up.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, one of the Chairpersons of the MNA Working Committee, highlighted the hard work and creativity of the designers, who succeeded in translating the beauty of Angeles City in their unique creations.
Meanwhile, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, expressed gratitude for the support, happiness, and excitement of the Angeleños.
