Christmas came early for the traffic enforcers, aides and street sweepers in the city government here as Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. announced today that they will receive an increase in salary rates starting next year, 2023, based on Memorandum No. 1660 Series of 2022.
Around 125 traffic enforcers, aides and 214 street sweepers will receive a new rate of P600 per day, as Mayor Lazatin recognized their efforts of fulfilling their duty may it be rain or shine.
Mayor Lazatin also commended the efforts of all traffic enforcers and street sweepers in maintaining the orderliness in traffic and cleanliness of streets.
According to Environment and Management System Head City Engineer Donato Dizon, 214 street sweepers are set to receive an increase.
Meanwhile, Angeles City Traffic Development Officer Francis Pangilinan thanked Mayor Lazatin for acknowledging the efforts of the city’s traffic enforcers.
Aside from the early Christmas surprise of Mayor Lazatin of an increase in salary, traffic enforcers and street sweepers also underwent physical examination starting on November 7 to ensure they are physically fit in fulfilling their duties.
