The Provincial Government of Pampanga, led by Governor Dennis โDeltaโ Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia โNanayโ Pineda, officially opened the celebration of National Womenโs Month on Monday, March 6 with month-long activities.

This yearโs celebration kicked- off with a zumba activity participated in by the provincial board members, department heads, and women employees at the Capitol grounds.
The theme of this yearโs celebration, โ๐ช๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐พ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐,โ aims for profound economic and social transformation to build an environment that provides equal opportunities to all Filipinos.
On behalf of Governor Delta, Vice Governor Nanay, in her speech, honored the role of women and their contribution to nation-building.
She emphasized that more than their role in society and families, women should also prioritize their well-being through the help of the โAlagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Programโ of the provincial government.

โItong celebration nating itong March, womenโs month. Sana hindi lang March, kailangan tayong mga kababaihan, alagaan natin yung sarili at kalusugan natin. Huwag kayong ma-stress sa problema, sa financial, sa mga asawa ninyo. Sa ating preventive healthcare gusto ko mauna muna kayo,โ the vice governor said.
In support of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) campaign, the provincial government declared every Monday as โPurpleโ day in the Capitol, where employees are required to wear their purple advocacy shirts for the whole month of March.
The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) also launched the activities prepared for the month-long celebration.
The provincial government will conduct โSolo Parents Caravanโ where solo parents will receive financial assistance, medical consultation (ob-gyne), free chair massage, and haircuts..
Other activities include skills training on manicure-pedicure, chair massage, basic haircutting, soap making and more. The launching of the โAklat ni DELTA Bulilit Learning Workbookโ will also take place in observance of the national womenโs month. (Pampanga PIO)
