Container Bungalow: a new tropical lair in Guagua

A repurposed container van, upcycled kiln drying chambers and a private fish pond and farm decorated for recreation and relaxation.  How much more unique do you want your staycation to be?

Adding up to the growing hidden paradise in Guagua is 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒘, a new venue for the summer season.

The leisure hideaway with an indoor pool is an actual 20-footer shipping container used as storage for a furniture factory in Mabalacat for more than a decade.

“Everything is interconnected with its furniture making history. Also, we are located in Betis, Guagua which is known to have really good craftsmen that popularized  “dukit” or the woodcarving industry in the province,” said owner Lieza Bituin.

The Butuin family expanded their business from their renowned furniture manufacturing to the trendy bed and breakfast havens.

Mid 2022 ,the container was dismantled and reassembled to be repurposed as a rental property designed to be incorporated within an existing warehouse.

The eccentric industrial space is also pet-friendly and has bikes and an outdoor dining area.

Before transforming the Container Bungalow, Bituin launched the Venta Suites in 2021, inspired by the needs for exclusivity and privacy of local tourists.

The kiln drying facility was turned into suites that they called chambers, using elements from the original structure such as fans and machines converted furnitures.

For family leisure, Hardin Bed & Breakfast is a great option to experience the serene provincial life and for bigger groups, Planta Betis has more spacious room space and the whole back yard with open spaces, playgrounds and siesta spots.

The Bituins aimed to preserve the heritage that mirrors the glorious past utilizing the available materials in their warehouse and making classic pieces relevant in the contemporary setting.

Various elements such as lush foliage and materials from the past factory are evident in the rooms, the common area and even some old wooden carved legs that they use as ornaments and decoration.

Moreover, the property offers a dining experience at Fabrika Villas, a generation-old factory reimagined as a getaway and Rural Bar & Cafe serving coffee and cocktails by the lake.

The rest & recreation property is located at Sta. Clara Road, Barangay Sta. Ines, Betis, Guagua, Pampanga.
