A total of 662 senior citizens from five barangays in Mabalacat City received their social pension at the Paralayunan covered court earlier today, May 11.

Senior citizens from Barangays Dapdap, Sapang Balen, Bundagul, Paralayunan and Sta. Maria  received Php1,500 each for the first quarter under the Mabalacat City local government’s Social Pension Program for Senior Citizens.

The 662 senior citizens include 385 from Barangay Dapdap; 59 from Sapang Balen; 88 from Bundagul; 44 from Paralayunan; and 86 from Sta. Maria.

The Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), the City Social Assistance Office (CSAO), and the City Population, Gender and Development (PopGAD) crafted the program to provide supplementary funding for the seniors’ basic necessities.

Paralayunan Barangay Captain Glen Tiongco, Barangay Paralayunan Captain – Rey Pineda, Barangay Paralayunan Kagawad – Antonio Pineda, Barangay Senior Citizen Affairs Heads, OSCA Staff, CSAO Staff, PopGAD Staff, and their Coordinators, participated on the said program.
