Clark Development Corporation (CDC) launched its Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) to streamline the process of permit and license application for investors.
The facility is the first of its kind outside the local government units’ eBOSS compliance.
CDC President Agnes Devanadera said the initiative is anchored on the whole-of-government approach by ensuring effective government action.
“I think this is one of the things that I can take pride in, that here at CDC, we are embracing a culture of responding to the needs and the issues employing the whole-of-government approach… Sometimes locators don’t need new laws. They don’t need amendments. Sometimes it’s simply that we have to make the government work,” she stressed.
Anti-Red Tape Authority Secretary Ernesto Perez lauded CDC’s initiative and cited the importance of streamlining processes to promote ease of doing business in the country.
“May the example being set today by the Clark Development Corporation be emulated nationwide, because you are showcasing the way government service must be rendered to your stakeholders and to your locators,” he said.
The BOSS offers various services, from pre-application counseling to post-approval monitoring, and will benefit a total of 1,161 locators and 136, 836 employees in Clark.
It also aims to enhance the attractiveness of the Freeport Zone as a premier investment destination. (PIA 3)
