Some 5,503 transport group members received cash aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the provincial government on Thursday, December 7.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Sta Ana Mayor Norberto Gamboa, and Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco led the distribution of assistance with the DSWD officials in two separate venues held in Sta Ana and Apalit towns.
Governor Delta mentioned that the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) is provided by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchallian to assist sectors severely affected by typhoons Egay and Falcon.
“Deni pu reng saup na ning national government anyang minta ya pu ing Presidente king probinsya inyang meturan tamu king bagyung Falcon at Egay. Ita ing sinabi ning national kanaku na itipa dala ding pondu. Pepariority kula pu talaga reng transport group,” he explained.
Beneficiaries include 2,035 TODA drivers from Sta Ana and 3,468 TODA drivers from Apalit.
“Maragul pung bage kekatamu pu ini. Pupuntalan da ka tamu pu. Reng saup pung bibye da kekatamu pu, sobra-sobra la pu. Ali daka tamu mu pu pisyalan, nune pegdala daka ta pang grasya. Siguradu ing pasku tamu merry ya,” Tetangco said.
Each recipient received P 5,175 through the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program of DSWD.
