Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) is extending its services to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in the province of Tarlac.
This is through the LANDBANKasama program which collaborates with micro, small, and medium enterprises such as stores, gasoline stations, and other businesses in far-flung areas to provide banking services.
LANDBANK Camiling Branch Head Ferdinand Castro said this is in line with the goal of the national government to provide financial inclusion for everyone.
“With LANDBANKasama program, our clients will save time and resources in going and queuing on our physical branches to avail of our services,” Castro said.
It is favorable particularly to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, government scholars, farmers, fisherfolk, government employees, and other clients.
In Tarlac, LANDBANK has partnered with Iggy Castro Hardware in the municipality of Mayantoc.
Services which can be availed through LANDBANKasama partners include cash in and cash out to LANDBANK account, money remittance, fund transfer, and bills payment.
“We are encouraging MSMEs who would like to have an extra source of income to partner with us and help in the development of their communities,” Castro added.
As of December 2023, LANDBANK has a total of 1,113 accredited partners nationwide. (PIA 3)
