Presidential Adviser Dennis Uy invites Italian bizmen to invest in the PH

Filipino business leader Dennis Anthony Uy met with officials of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Southeast Asia in Milan last Friday to encourage them to look into possible investment opportunities in the Philippines which registered among the highest growth rates in the region.

During the meeting arranged by the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, Mr. Uy, who is a member of the Presidential Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC), shared with Italian Chamber President Riccardo Rocca the many positive economic developments in the Philippines that Italian companies should take advantage of. 

Uy is also a board member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Uy said Italian companies could invest in infrastructure, transportation, defense, telecommunications, information technology, power generation, and many others. 

Uy, who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of leading broadband and technology service provider Converge ICT Solutions, also encouraged the Italian Chamber to organize a business mission to the Philippines. 

Uy also had a telephone conversation with President Francesco Buzzella of the National Federation of the Chemical Industry of Italy and of the Federation of Industry of Lombardy. 

In their conversation, Uy also invited President Buzzella to take a second look at the Philippines and explore possible investment opportunities in the country. 

Present during the meeting were Consul General Elmer G. Cato, Consul Norman Padalhin, Director Dario Barisoni of ARPA Consultancy and President Noel Carillo of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Italy.

Aside from being a member of the PSAC Digital Infrastructure Committee, Uy was also appointed by Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as his Special Envoy to the Republic of Korea for Digital Transformation.

Uy said Italian companies could invest in infrastructure, transportation, defense, telecommunications, information technology, power generation, and many others.

Uy, who is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Converge ICT and Special Envoy of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the Republic of Korea, also encouraged the Italian Chamber to organize a business mission to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, in a telephone conversation, Uy asked National Federation of the Chemical Industry of Italy and of the Federation of Industry of Lombardy President Francesco Buzzellato to take a second look at the Philippines and explore possible investment opportunities in the country.
