It was a day of prizes, fun and surprises for Binibining Pilipinas beauties who were given a ‘homecoming’ at the Beautederm Headquarters today, July 29.
Beautederm CEO and Founder Rei Anicoche-Tan officially handed out the prizes won by the beauties in the recently concluded 60th Binibining Pilipinas pageant, where Beautéderm is the official skincare partner.
Binibining Pilipinas First Runner-up Christal Dela Cruz of Zambales, who won the title ‘Binibining Beautéderm’ received her P150,000.00 cash prize, and P500,000.00 worth of Beautéderm products.
Binibining Pilipinas – Globe Jasmine Bungay (Pampanga) and Binibining Pilipinas – International Myrna Esguerra (Abra) each received P100,000.00 worth of Beautéderm products.
Meanwhile, Binibining Pilipinas Second Runner-up Trisha Martinez of(Pila) was awarded P50,000.00 in Beautéderm products.
In the surprise mini-press conference following the awarding, the Binibining Pilipinas queens shared the impact that the Beautéderm CEO has made in them.
Binibining Beautéderm tags Anicoche-Tan as her ‘inspiration. “Her aura screams ‘empowered woman’. Her presence as a judge during the pageant had a calming effect on me.”
Binibining Pilipinas – International Myrna Esguerra said she will always live by the lesson she learned from Anicoche-Tan, which is “Always go back to your roots.” Esguerra, who represented Abra in the pageant, thanked Beautéderm and Angeles City for “always making me feel at home.”
As a scholar of the City College of Angeles (CCA), and being an Angeleña at heart, she shared her victory to the city, saying “Nanalo tayo!”
Meanwhile, Binibining Pilipinas-Globe Jasmin Bungay said that the key to success is trust. She expresses admiration for the Beautéderm ‘queen’, who was able to build an empire from humble beginnings. “And as she continues to succeed, she maintains her desire to empower women.”
Asked why they believe in the Beautéderm products, Esguerra said the beauté products are one with her in the advocacy to protect the environment. “The products are organic, and won’t cause harm. I salute Beautéderm for not harming animals or the environment just to amplify beauty.”
Binibining Beautéderm Christal Dela Cruz says Beautéderm products “are made with love,” adding that the “beauty of Beautéderm lies in its ability to make us beautéful not only only on the outside, but more importantly, from within.”
Christal also emphasized the importance of staying grounded. “Humility is beautiful. Know yourself, and share what you are – the real you – to people.”
Binibining Pilipinas – Globe Jasmin Bungay reminds those with aspirations “Don’t let anyone break your dreams.” She shared that in the past, someone put shade on her victory in a pageant. “That broke me and invalidated my hard work.”
Yet she was able to put all the negativity aside, and now, she is a Binibining Pilipinas Queen. As a reminder, Bungay had this to say: “Others may want to break you and your dreams but you have your destiny in your own hands. Stay faithful. Trust that your dreams will be fulfilled.”
Sitting amid the young beautés, Beautéderm CEO Rei Anicoche-Tan says “We need to take care of ourselves before we can take care of others.”
At 40 plus, Anicoche-Tan clearly doesn’t look her age. “Let us celebrate age. I am always told that I look ‘fresh’. I believe in being a ‘walking endorsement’ myself, because I use Beautéderm products and know how good they are. I am one with my endorsers in being testament that Beautéderm products do work.”
Ms. Beautéderm
At the press con, another surprise was announced by Ms. Anicoche-Tan. “I am planning to stage Ms. Beautéderm, a national pageant which will be held here in Angeles or Pampanga where the business started and grew into what it is now.”
The Beautéderm CEO says that despite the birth of her own Ms. Beautéderm, she will continue to be in full support of Binibining Pilipinas, and even Mutya Ning Angeles, where, for many years, she has been the co-presentor.
To this, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin, Jr.’s Executive Assistant Reina Manuel said that “the Binibining Pilipinas beauties will always be welcome in Angeles City,” and expressed gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Rei Anicoche-Tan for always backing the initiatives of the Angeles City Government.
