Executive Assistant to the Governor of Pampanga Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab took a proactive role in addressing the urgent issue of flooding in the capital city of San Fernando.

Mobilizing beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on August 26, 2024, Pineda-Cayabyab led an initiative to clear clogged drainage canals in Barangays๐‘บ๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ท๐’†๐’…

This move directly aligned with the response to a call from the local business sector for Governor Dennis Pineda to take decisive action against persistent flooding in the area.

Complementing Pineda-Cayabyab’s efforts, Governor Pineda deployed heavy equipment and personnel tasked with the opening and declogging of the sewerage systems along major thoroughfares, notably the essential Jose Abad Santos Avenue.

Pineda-Cayabyab emphasized the significance of maintaining clean waterways, stating, โ€œMakatulong po sana ito para maibsan kahit papaano ang mga pagbaha sa barangay. Pagmalasakitan po sana natin at panatilihing malinis ang mga daluyan ng tubig.โ€
