Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda brought light and hope to six families in the City of San Fernando who had been living without electricity for months.
Accompanied by her daughter, former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Nanay personally visited the families on December 22 to witness their struggles firsthand and address their pressing needs.
During her visit, the families’ homes were illuminated as electricity was reconnected, a moment that symbolized a brighter future.
“Binibisita ko yung mga walang kuryente, pasko kasi,” Vice Governor Nanay shared, emphasizing the importance of compassion and giving during the holiday season.
Beyond restoring power, she pledged to cover water reconnection fees for several families, ensuring they have access to essential utilities.
To spread more holiday cheer, Vice Governor Nanay provided the families with groceries, clothes, noche buena packages, and cash gifts. She also committed to supplying essential appliances and beds to improve their living conditions.
According to the San Fernando Electric and Power Company, Inc. (SFELAPCO), the families’ electricity was disconnected due to unpaid bills, with each household owing no more than P5,000.
This act of kindness from Vice Governor Nanay highlights her unwavering commitment to uplifting Kapampangan families and embodies the true spirit of Christmas: generosity, care, and community support.
