OTOP sales hit P362,878 in 42 days
ANGELES CITY — As the city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. continues to promote Gawang Angeleño products, the One Town, One Product store has earned P362,878 as of December 12, 2021.
As of December 12, the OTOP has earned P170,999, with additional earnings of P83,136 during the live selling. While in November, it has earnings of P108,743.
Mayor Lazatin said this is in line with the goal of the city government to assist the local Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
This was mentioned by Mayor Lazatin during his interview before the 12.12 PasalOne Angeleño Pa live selling.
These earnings were wholly given to the local merchants, Lazatin explained.
From 2019 with just 8 local MSMEs at the OTOP store, there are now 18 displaying-merchants.
Among the MSMEs presently being featured at the OTOP store are Impact Balibago Arts and Crafts (IBAC), Tamayuc bayong bags, JJBMS water bonsai, Cutud Weavers’ plant baskets, Stitched by RAJ hair bows, bags and purses from recycled plastics by Ellen Turla, wooden kitchenwares by Wood Concept by Madison and Bel’s Woodcraft.
Including kitchen organizers by Flores Handicrafts, capiz-made home decorations by Chilonia Fabrica, ref magnets by Lucio Sison, fashion accessories by K’s Creations, miniature ships by Adto, metal racks by BG Metal Fabrication, hand-painted jars, fork and spoon and clay pots by Tabaks, and dreamcatchers by Catch your Dreamxx.
Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas thanked the supporters of the Gawang Angeleño products.
This is the third time that the OTOP store had conducted a live selling, where there are also prizes from Beautéderm, Hausland, IBAC Woodcrafts and personal donations of Manuel and Calaguas.
Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Officer-in-Charge Irish Bonus-Llego is encouraging her kababayans to support #GawangAngeleño products and is inviting local MSMEs to exhibit their locally-made products at the OTOP store. (Angeles CIO)
