Masantol Mayor Ton Ton Bustos and Vice Mayor Dan Guinto shake hands during a peace covenant signing and unity walk held on Monday, 10 March, at the St. Michael de Archangel Parish Church. The event was organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Philippine Army.

Bustos is running for re-election, while Guinto aims to reclaim his former position as mayor. Joshua Bustos, Buday Guinto, and Dr. Bong Algarne are vying for the vice mayoralty. Re-electionist and aspiring councilors also participated in the event.
