ARTA HOSTS GRAND EASE OF DOING BUSINESS FAIR IN ANGELES CITY

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), headed by Secretary and Director General Atty. Ernesto Perez, hosted the Grand Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Fair in Angeles City on Monday, May 19, 2025, in partnership with the Angeles City Government.

The event, held in celebration of EODB Month, aimed to bring essential frontline services closer to the people—making government transactions faster, more accessible, and citizen-friendly.

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. welcomed the initiative, with department heads and chiefs of offices from the city government showing their full support during the opening ceremony.

A total of eleven national government agencies participated in the fair, including: ARTA – Regional Field Office Central Luzon, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Social Security System (SSS).

The participating agencies offered services such as ID enrollment, registration, membership verification, certificate issuance, and access to digital platforms—designed to streamline and improve public service delivery.

The fair is part of the government’s ongoing efforts under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas campaign to reduce red tape and promote a people-centered, efficient bureaucracy.

To recall, the administration of Mayor Lazatin has also upheld Angeles City’s legacy of public service excellence, most recently earning the ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management. This recognition reflects the city’s continued commitment to transparent, efficient, and globally competitive governance—a tradition that began in 2002 under former Mayor Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, when Angeles became the first ISO-certified LGU system outside Metro Manila.
