The Philippines continues to shine on the global tourism stage as two stunning beaches from the MIMAROPA region have been named in the prestigious 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝟓𝟎 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 list.
Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan soared to the No. 2 spot, while Bonbon Beach in Romblon climbed to No. 38, showcasing the country’s enduring appeal as a top tropical destination. The rankings reflect an upward trend from last year, when Entalula ranked fourth and Bonbon placed 45th.
Compiled by leading travel experts and influencers, the list hailed Entalula Beach as Palawan’s overlooked slice of heaven,” admired for its towering limestone cliffs, clear turquoise waters, and secluded charm — accessible only by boat.
“Entalula adds an element of adventure and exclusivity to any visit. Its striking natural features and tranquil atmosphere make it a coveted spot for relaxation and appreciating nature,” the listing noted.
Bonbon Beach was celebrated as a “laid-back, undeveloped paradise” and drew praise for its unique sandbar that emerges during low tide, allowing visitors to walk across shallow waters to Bangug Island.
“Often you could have this beach all to yourself,” the site remarked, appealing to those seeking peaceful escapes off the beaten path.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro welcomed the international recognition and emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting the country’s natural assets.
“Ang pagkilalang ito ay patunay na kahanga-hanga ang ganda ng Pilipinas at sa ating global standing bilang isa sa mga ipinagmamalaking beach destination sa buong mundo,” Usec. Castro said during a press briefing.
She also highlighted the administration’s ongoing push for sustainable tourism under the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) National Tourism Development Plan and its “Love the Philippines” campaign.
With global recognition reaffirming the Philippines’ status as a premier beach destination, Entalula and Bonbon beaches are now firmly on the radar of the world’s most discerning travelers.
