Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon met with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso to discuss the right-of-way acquisition for the North-South Commuter Railway South Extension (NSCR-Ex), particularly the stretch from Tutuban to Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Also present during the meeting were DOTr Undersecretary for Rail Sector Timothy John Batan, Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition Irish “IC” Calaguas, Chief of Staff Cezar Chavez, and Secretary to the Mayor Letlet Zarcal.

Mayor Domagoso expressed full support for the NSCR-Ex project, which forms part of the government’s major infrastructure push to improve mass transport and ease commuter travel in Metro Manila and nearby areas.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has prioritized the swift implementation of key railway developments through Secretary Dizon and the DOTr to address growing transportation needs and enhance connectivity for the riding public.
