The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has initiated precautionary measures to ensure the stability of transmission operations as Severe Tropical Storm Emong, Tropical Storm Dante, and the southwest monsoon (habagat) continue to affect parts of the country.

In line with its Integrated Disaster Action Plan (IDAP), NGCP has taken steps to bolster the reliability of its power transmission network. These include checking and securing communications equipment, preparing essential hardware and materials for emergency repairs, and deploying line crews to strategic locations for faster response and restoration.

NGCP remains on high alert and committed to minimizing disruptions to power transmission services during the expected weather disturbances.
