PDEA, PRO3 boost narangay anti-drug drive with One-Day Orientation

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 3 (PDEA RO III), led by Regional Director Dir. III Jigger B. Montallana, conducted a one-day orientation for Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) officers and implementers on August 7, 2025, at the PATROL Hall, PRO3 Multi-Purpose Building.

Thirty participants attended in person, including PDEA agents and personnel from the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) under PCOL Ferdinand D. Germino. Another 150 officers—comprising Chiefs of Police Community Affairs and Development Units and BDCP focal persons—joined virtually from various police stations across Central Luzon.

The training aimed to equip local officers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to effectively carry out the BDCP, further strengthening PDEA and PNP collaboration in the fight against illegal drugs.

Director Montallana underscored the value of capacity building, saying, “A well-informed and united force is our strongest weapon in clearing barangays of illegal drugs.”

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. praised the partnership, emphasizing that community-based policing and well-trained frontliners are key to sustaining drug-free communities.

The initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of PDEA and PNP to empower grassroots implementers and achieve a unified goal of a drug-free Central Luzon.
