League of Cities names Focal Mayors for Key Governance Areas

The League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) has announced its new set of focal mayors who will lead and represent the organization in specific governance and advocacy areas across the country.

For Luzon Affairs, Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap will take the lead, while Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival will head Visayas Affairs and General Santos City Mayor Lgp Cares will oversee Mindanao Affairs. City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso has been designated focal mayor for NCR Affairs.

In legislative engagement, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindi King Chan will serve as focal mayor for Congressional Affairs, while Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay will focus on Senate Affairs.

For specialized sectors, Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan will handle Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Batac City Mayor Markee R. Chua will focus on Children’s Welfare, and Cabanatuan City Mayor Myca Vergara will lead Climate Change initiatives.

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar will be the focal mayor for Business and Entrepreneurship, Balanga City Mayor Raquel Garcia will focus on Education, and Laoag City Mayor James Bryan will champion Environmental Protection.

The LCP said these appointments aim to strengthen collaboration between cities, share best practices, and address pressing challenges through dedicated leadership in each sector.
