Over 1,000 Candaba residents benefit from ‘Alagang Nanay’ Healthcare Program

More than 1,000 residents of Candaba received free medical services through the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program led by Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, bringing much-needed healthcare and support to underserved communities.

A total of 1,081 Candabeños benefited from the program’s rollout, availing of free medical check-ups, medicines, and food packs. Among them was Aling Edralin, who has been battling kidney problems and lost a leg to cancer. Overcome with emotion, she expressed her gratitude after personally meeting Governor Pineda, saying she had long awaited the chance to receive treatment.

Governor Pineda assured Edralin of continued assistance and reaffirmed her commitment to making healthcare accessible for all Candabeños. She announced additional funding to complete the town’s local government hospital, which will be equipped with new medical facilities and an additional building.

“Lahat ng Candabeño ay may karapatang magkaroon ng abot-kamay at dekalidad na serbisyong medikal,” Pineda stressed.

Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque thanked the provincial government for its support, noting that the community deeply feels Governor Pineda’s care and compassion.

The Alagang Nanay program is expected to return soon, extending its reach to more barangays, particularly in the Tagalog-speaking areas of Candaba.
