Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary for Right of Way and Site Acquisition (ROWSA) Irish IC Calaguas inspected the old PNR Bridge in Balibago, where a replacement footbridge requested by then Mayor and now First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has been completed and is already serving residents.

The DOTr has started demolishing the old bridge to clear the right of way (ROW) for the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.

DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon earlier commended ROWSA’s strong accomplishments for the NSCR, following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to fast-track the completion of the major rail project.
