PRO3 resolves 67 administrative cases in ongoing internal cleansing drive

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has intensified its internal cleansing program, resolving 67 administrative cases from June 19 to August 20, 2025—nearly double the 38 cases resolved in the earlier period from January 9 to June 18, 2025.

Under the leadership of PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., a total of 74 personnel faced disciplinary action: 39 dismissed, 3 demoted, 29 suspended, and 3 reprimanded. Five of those sanctioned were Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs).

The initiative supports the third core pillar of PNP Chief General Nicolas D. Torre III—Accountability and Modernization—and reflects PRO3’s commitment to discipline, accountability, and professionalism within the ranks.

Chief PNP Torre III earlier reported that more than 3,400 personnel nationwide have been sanctioned in the past year under the strengthened internal cleansing program.

“Our intensified internal cleansing is not merely about discipline, but about building unity and morale within our ranks. This ensures we perform our duties with integrity and credibility—fundamentally reinforcing the trust and confidence of the people we serve,” said PBGEN Peñones Jr.

PRO3 vowed to sustain its momentum in support of the Chief PNP’s vision for a disciplined and morally resilient police force.
