Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has expressed his full support for the appointment of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon as the new chief of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“We wholeheartedly support the appointment of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon as the new Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). He has done great work and led groundbreaking improvement in the DOTr, and I am sure that he will continue to do so in the DPWH,” Lazatin said.

The solon also backed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s call for full organizational reform in the DPWH and the investigation of flood control anomalies.

“We also support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in calling for full organizational reform of the DPWH and to ensure that flood control anomalies are investigated. We also support the goal of President Marcos to ensure that public funds are solely used for infrastructure that will benefit the people,” he added.

Lazatin likewise lauded the President’s commitment to stamp out corruption in the agency.

“Ang ginawa ng Pangulo na ito ay nagpapatunay na seryoso siyang matuldukan ang anomalya sa DPWH. At dahil dito nasa likod nyo kami sa Unang Distrito ng Pampanga. Luid kayu pu, Pangulong Marcos at Secretary Dizon,” he said.
