New daycare center opens in Bataan

Children in Barangay Old San Jose, Dinalupihan, Bataan now have a safer and more nurturing space to learn with the completion of a new 42-square-meter daycare center funded under the 2024 national budget.

The P3.87-million one-story facility, built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) through its Basic Infrastructure Program, is equipped with amenities designed to support early childhood development.

DPWH Bataan 3rd District Engineer Maribel Navarro said the project reflects the agency’s commitment to community welfare, particularly the well-being of children.

“This project represents the hopes and dreams of the children, and we are dedicated to enhancing their access to education and childcare services to nurture their developmental needs and provide support for their parents,” Navarro said.

She added that the initiative aligns with DPWH’s mission to strengthen educational infrastructure and uplift the quality of life in local communities.

The daycare center also supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in prioritizing investments that improve education, protect families, and build inclusive communities, giving children a stronger foundation for learning.
