In a rare show of unity, Cebu Pacific CEO Michael Szucs and Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall came together to champion the Philippines on the global stage at Routes World 2025 in Hong Kong.
During a 35-minute forum moderated by Michael Snell, founder of Global Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Practice, the two airline leaders highlighted the country’s recent economic gains, infrastructure improvements, and strong growth potential in the travel and tourism sector. Their joint message put the Philippines in the spotlight before international airline, airport, and aviation executives.

Meanwhile, executives from Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD), the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), and Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) also joined the forum to promote Clark International Airport as a key gateway for global carriers.
Routes World described the session as an exploration of “the resilience of the market, the strategies driving recovery and growth, and the future outlook for one of Asia’s most dynamic air travel regions.”
