CONG POGI LAZATIN, PARTNERS LAUNCH FEEDING PROGRAM FOR 2,000 STUDENTS

Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has teamed up with Rise Against Hunger, Grab Philippines, and Red Pillars Foundation for a joint feeding program that will benefit 2,000 public school students across Angeles City, Mabalacat City, and Magalang.

The initiative, dubbed “Apag Pamangan Kareng Kaynakan,” will kick off this November and run for three months, serving nutritious meals to pupils from kindergarten to Grade 6.

Rise Against Hunger and Grab Philippines will provide lunch packs for beneficiaries, while Lazatin’s office, through the Red Pillars Foundation, will handle logistics and manpower.

Transportation Assistant Secretary IC Calaguas, who also heads Red Pillars, led the initial coordination with recipient schools and barangays.

“This partnership strengthens our shared commitment to end hunger and improve the nutrition of young learners in the first district,” Lazatin said.

The program forms part of Lazatin’s ongoing nutrition advocacy, which includes the Mobile Soup Kitchen and the distribution of malunggay ice cream for daycare students—initiatives he personally funds.
