Leading fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has earned the Five Golden Arrow Award, the highest recognition for corporate governance under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), following the latest evaluation by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

The achievement marks a major milestone for Converge, which celebrates its fifth anniversary as a publicly listed company on October 26.

β€œAs our company evolves from being a telco to a technology company, we remain steadfast in taking good care of the trust of our shareholders, our customers, our employees, our business partners, and the communities we serve,” said Converge Chairman Jose de Jesus during the awarding ceremony. β€œIt is this trust that enables innovation to flourish and sustains our growth.”

The Five Golden Arrow recognition represents a significant leap from Converge’s Three-Arrow rating in 2023, positioning it among the youngest publicly listed companies to achieve this level of excellence within just five years of its listing.

β€œCorporate governance has been front and center of how we do business,” said Co-Founder and President Maria Grace Uy. β€œWe are honored to have received the top rating, a recognition we deeply value as a young company growing in this journey and committed to upholding the highest ethical standards.”

Corporate Compliance and Sustainability Officer Atty. Laurice Esteban-Tuason emphasized that the recognition reflects the company’s β€œstrong leadership commitment, board oversight, and active engagement in upholding integrity and responsibility.”

Meanwhile, Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy reiterated Converge’s long-standing mission to bridge the digital divide. β€œFrom the very start, our goal has been to make sure no one is left behind in this digital age,” he said.

The ICD annually assesses publicly listed companies’ adherence to international standards of corporate governance under the ACGS framework, awarding distinctions from One Arrow up to Five Arrows. For the 2024 review, 276 firms were evaluated under the revised ACGS, which now places greater emphasis on sustainability, resilience, and transparency** in alignment with OECD principles.

Converge’s continued enhancement of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices has also earned it international recognition. In 2023, it achieved an upgraded β€˜AA’ ESG rating from global investment research firm MSCI for its strengthened board-level oversight and ethics auditing. Earlier this year, it was also named among the Top 5 Publicly Listed Companies in the Philippines and the Top 50 PLCs in ASEAN by Malaysia’s Minority Shareholders Watch Group (MSWG).

Since its first ICD assessment in 2021β€”where it received a One Golden Arrowβ€”Converge has steadily risen in rank, achieving Three Arrows in 2022 and 2023, and now reaching the highest Five-Arrow distinction.

Converge was listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange on October 26, 2020, under the stock symbol CNVRG.
