The BCDA recognized the measure as a key step toward advancing sports tourism and national development, emphasizing the Philippinesโ€™ growing potential not only as a destination for world-class sporting events but also as a hub for athlete training and the growth of the sports industry.

In line with this vision, the BCDA continues to strengthen sports-centered initiatives, particularly in New Clark City, which serves as the countryโ€™s premier sports complex. The National Academy of Sports (NAS) continues to train future champion athletes, while the Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA) is partnering with BCDA to develop a 10-hectare Philippine Tennis Center. Meanwhile, world-class facilities such as the Athletics Stadium and Aquatics Center continue to host local and international competitions following their successful use during the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang also reaffirmed the agencyโ€™s partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to expand national sports infrastructure, including new training centers outside New Clark City, such as in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

Through these projects, BCDA underscores its commitment to driving sports, tourism, and economic growthโ€”uplifting communities, nurturing Filipino talent, and enhancing the countryโ€™s global reputation as a premier sports destination.
